Good wine is an inspiration. The noblesse of wine fits in very well with the magical atmosphere of Český Krumlov, once the seat of one of the most powerful noble families in Bohemia. Wine was sporadically cultivated in the Český Krumlov area from time to time, although Krumlov's aristocracy was more inclined to enjoy fine wines brought in from quality Bohemian, Moravian, Austrian, and Italian vineyards. Despite this, it was actually the Krumlov aristocracy that, during the peak of their powers, revived the vineyards of the Roudnice dominion, thus contributing to what is now a 400 year tradition of fine Bohemian wine production.

During a tour of the Old Town with your experienced guide, you're sure to be enchanted by the stunning views of the Krumlov Castle over the Vltava River, the castle's picturesque tower on its precipice, or the dominating St. Vitus church on the opposite hill. Your experiences from the town's unique beauty will then be highlighted by a visit to the puppet and marionette museum with a tasting of carefully selected castle wines. During our sommelier's presentation, you'll forget the hectic bustle of the world outside, time will stand still for a while, and with a glass of wine in your hand (and a few sips in your head as well), you'll comprehend the timeless value of the family motto of the Krumlov aristocracy, the Lords of Rožmberk: FESTINA LENTE (Hurry slowly!).
